About Me

Meet Sydney ๐Ÿ‘‹

Sydney is a 2026 graduate of the University of Washington, currently working as an Associate Compliance Analyst at Identity Digital Inc. in Bellevue, sitting at the edge of internet infrastructure and the emerging world of AI agents.

She's always been a bit of a paradox: as comfortable building connections over a good conversation as she is untangling complex systems at a desk. That tension isn't something she tries to resolve; it's the thing that drives her.

From coordinating a twelve-person research team on nuclear politics in outer space to presenting data methodology to a team in Mumbai, she's learned that the best outcomes live at the intersection of careful thinking and clear communication.

Whatever room she's in, you can count on Sydney to bring genuine energy and a real desire to get things right.

Career

Experience

A consistent pattern of diving into unfamiliar territory, learning fast, and producing something real.

Associate Compliance Analyst
Identity Digital Inc.
Jan 2026 โ€“ Present ยท Bellevue, WA

Identity Digital sits at the foundation of how the internet assigns names and ownership. Sydney joined as the company built DNSidโ„ข, a DNS-anchored identity standard for AI agents, putting her compliance work at the frontier of a genuinely new problem.

  • Maintains compliance operations for Innovation Labs, the division developing DNSidโ„ข (essentially a birth certificate for AI agents, built on the same infrastructure that makes the web work)
  • Interprets and applies regulatory requirements in a domain where the rules are still catching up to the technology
  • Works across a team building foundational trust infrastructure for an AI economy that didn't exist five years ago
Data Operations Intern
PitchBook
Jun โ€“ Aug 2025 ยท Seattle, WA

Three months inside one of Seattle's best-known fintech companies, building hands-on fluency in private capital markets while contributing real work to a team that keeps PitchBook's data engine running.

  • Designed a research methodology from the ground up and flew it across time zones, delivering the framework directly to PitchBook's Mumbai team
  • Partnered with Sales interns to identify friction points in the platform user experience, connecting the data side of the house to the customer-facing one
  • Sourced and structured data from foreign-language materials, turning raw information into clean records the Data Operations team could actually use
Spin / Cycle Instructor
University of Washington
May 2024 โ€“ Present ยท Seattle, WA

A role she earned by holding herself to a genuinely hard standard, then turned into a platform for holding others to one too.

  • Leads high-energy cycle classes at UW, building a community around shared effort, accountability, and a lot of good music
  • Discovered early that the best way to motivate a room is to not hold back yourself, a principle she carries everywhere
Sales Associate
Target
Aug 2023 โ€“ Jul 2025 ยท 2 yrs

Two years of real customer interaction, the kind of experience that teaches you to read a room, stay composed under pressure, and communicate with people rather than at them. The bedrock for everything since.

Stand-out Moments

Highlights

A few things worth pausing on.

๐Ÿš€
Nuclear Politics in Outer Space
As Strategic Coordinator on a UW Task Force capstone, Sydney managed twelve researchers across ten weeks on a subject most people couldn't pronounce, coordinating timelines, synthesizing research threads, and helping turn it all into a real published report.
๐Ÿ›๏ธ
Washington D.C. Foreign Policy Immersion
Traveled to D.C. with her program for a week-long window into how foreign policy actually gets made: the meetings, the trade-offs, the people behind the decisions. A perspective shift that stuck.
๐ŸŒ
Presented Research to Mumbai
At PitchBook, she built a research framework from scratch and took it international, presenting it to the Mumbai office with the kind of clarity that makes a cross-continental room trust you. Intern title, senior delivery.
๐Ÿ’ช
Certified to Lead
Earning her spin instructor certification meant passing a standard most people don't attempt. She did it alongside a full academic and professional schedule and has been teaching ever since.
๐Ÿค–
Compliance at the AI Frontier
Joined Identity Digital exactly when the company was pivoting toward AI agent identity, one of the most consequential infrastructure problems of the next decade. She's in the room where that gets figured out.
๐Ÿพ
Forever Husky
A UW International/Global Studies grad who spent her time there building a global lens, challenging herself academically, and collecting a network of people who push her. The diploma is the smallest part of what she took home. Go Dawgs! ๐Ÿ’œ

Off the Clock

Life Outside Work

She takes the same discipline she brings to the office and puts it to work in the gym, the studio, the saddle, and the trail.

๐Ÿ‹๏ธ
Strength Training
Lifting isn't just a hobby. It's a commitment. Sydney shows up consistently, tracks progress, and pushes past the comfortable. The gym is where she learned that steady effort over time is always the answer.
๐Ÿง˜
Pilates
The counterbalance to everything high-intensity. Pilates demands something different: precision, control, and patience. She's good at all three when it counts, and this is where she sharpens them.
๐Ÿšฒ
Spin Instructor
Getting certified to teach was about more than fitness. It was about proving she could lead a room. She's been doing it at UW since 2024, building a loyal community one ride at a time.
๐Ÿ”๏ธ
Camping, Hiking & Backpacking
The Pacific Northwest is her playground. Whether it's a weekend car camping trip or a multi-day backpacking push into the backcountry, she's most at home when she's outside with a pack on her back and nowhere to be.

Where It Started

Education

๐Ÿซ
B.A. in International / Global Studies
University of Washington
January 2024 โ€“ December 2025 ยท Seattle, WA

Two years of building a global perspective, studying the systems, politics, and relationships that shape how the world actually works. Left with a degree, a community, and an unshakeable habit of asking why.
